Robert Richardson collection.

The collection consists of reports, dating from Jan. 1965 to [1966?], sent out by Senator Richardson to certain of his constituents throughtout each session. The reports consists of comments on proposed legislation, its purpose, additional proposals, and a summary of his attitudes to the proposals. The collection also contains his outgoing correspondence from March 1965 to March 1966. These consists of replies to constituents regarding various legislation and issues.

Robert Richardson, born Apr. 20, 1926, resides in Saginaw, Mich. In 1950, he graduated from the University of Michigan, where he received his LLLB in 1951. In 1952, he was elected a Circuit Court Commissioner. From 1953 to 1956, he acted as administrative assistant to Congressman Alvin Bently. Richardson was an assistant U.S. attorney from 1957-1958, and a prosecuting attorney (Saginaw County) from 1959-1963.
